... looking for skiing /boarding, a party, and to get lucky occasionally. Be fair to say its a target rich environment, in all categories. We got a lot of kudos because of our age, and that we were 'living the dream'. Kind of funny also, we went to the staff do at the end of training. It was in a nightclub. We walked in about 10pm and everyone cheered. Said hi to people, bought a drink each, a 250ml Heinie and a vodka and coke. Cost NZ$26. Didn't stay long, but our ...

... made for amazing scenery. We had a lovely afternoon, we missed Marni, it will be great when the four of us can ski together.

I managed to get better at skating today, but just as I stopped I over balanced and put my arm out to stop the fall, it was the arm I have had the injury on for the last half of this year. ... way to a ‘Intermarche Hyper’ on the way back to our accommodation, which we translated as ‘super huge supermarket’, and were very excited about what amazing range of food and goodies we might find there – only to pull into a huge empty parking lot and realised it was Sunday and they closed at 1230. Boo! Also wanted to order more scrummy breakfast items for the next day, only to get back to the accommodation to find reception closed at 1230 on Sunday ...

Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. Dinner in a lovely dining room, food pasta as usual. ...
