    ... We manoeuvred our bags over the ice to our waiting mini-bus, which was to take us to the ferry terminal in Kirkenes, Norway. For 2.5 hours we drove through scenic countryside, with snow-capped pine trees, frozen lakes and reindeer regular features. We saw two other vehicles (one, stupidly, a white van with no lights on that we couldn't see until we were right on top of it), both of which we quickly overtook.     ... Big ships manage to get int these fjords which was also a surprise. I didn't think the fjords would be so big. The scenery as we cruse along is often green with pretty towns and summer houses along the way. As I write this I am looking out on a grey, hazy ocean. We did see a bit of sun this morning. It was dull and overcast yesterday when we passed Northcape, the most northerly point on the European mainland. I guess it will improve as we head further south. ...

    ... so the fjord froze and it was not safe. Instead, we caught King Crab by the habour and we slaughtered them right on the spot! We were terribly lucky to have caught 5 King Crabs for just the 2 of us! We get to eat all of them all by ourselves!
