        ... which is very nice. It doesn't get darkish till about 11pm – sunset about 9:45pm. This means we share a bottle between 4 of us which at about $100 per bottle is a relief.

        The ship has free wifi but only in the public areas, this means I need take the computer either up or down a deck to get the emails.

        There is a small library and I now on my second book, we do have a chance to get off the boat at ...

        ... expensive here that,like field mice they only eat in times of plenty. Another thing ; often when we are in public places( cafes,buses,in the street,etc.)people come up and speak Norwegian to us ,confidently assuming that we are one of them.This provides a bit of a lift -they are lovely people,the women in particular ,both young and old are so very natural,never thinking to colour their greying hair they carry their good looks ...

        ... you get me traveling at the speeds he was in those conditions, but he'd be used to it and have all the necessary equipment.         ... level was not too kind but we were able to get to the memorial for the obligatory pic and see the 70 metre drop to the ocean. We read some history of the exploration and naval battles fought offshore during WW2. For such a remote part of the world plenty went on here. On the bus and we retraced steps then south along fjords and into Hammerfest for 12.30 and there ,waiting was our ship. This drive was very spectacular with fantastic scenery, wild and not ...

The islands claim to have the only golf course that hosts a "Midnight Sun Golf Tournament" on a small nine hole course...don't think I will bother to sign up.The twenty four hour sunshine for three months in the summer leads to a problem and unique solution for dairy cows.
