... wherever seems appealing at the moment. With fjords, mountains, glaciers, old buildings, hiking trails, and roadways, we never fail to keep ourselves entertained.

Of course, there are none of the well-known rental companies here in Balestrand, so I arranged to rent from a local that started out with one car a few years ago and is now up to eight or so. I reserved the car several months ago, but received a message from the owner last week asking if we’d be willing ...

We climbed some hills and came across some snow/ice. Sophie and Alison had a bit of a play in the ...

This time we had met an Aussie couple, Mark and Chris, who are working at the Australian Embassy in Paris so we had a nice chat with them.

Getting back to Balestrand at 5pm we had a quick look around and had an ...

Upon arriving in Mundal, it was very clear why this was called Book Town. There were used book shops (some were just outdoor shelves) all up and down the main street (which I think is about the only street, as Mundal is a very small village). We went looking for a place to have a small sandwich and found one on the far end of the street. It turned out to be a very cute cafe, that also sold various gifts ...
