      ... which pete did not like. We were so high there was snow all around us, and a glacier field in front of us and it was blooming cold! We went to see a stave church today - wooden churches only found in norway built in about 11-1300 ad. The craftsmanship was amazing.       ... 176;. We got off after 4 hrs in Myrdal, and boarded the train to Flam. 20 Kms. And a drop of 886m down to the fjord. I think the steepest normal gauge railway in the world. 20 tunnels, countless waterfalls and amazing views.temp. now up to 8. Boarded the Express Ferry to travel the fjord to Balestrad.
