- Barbecue at the one of the student`s dormitory. - THE song: We had to perform a song this evening in front of alle the first year students. The song was our invention. We were just given a couple of words and had to make up everything else. Here`s the practise..... :)

Here are some pictures from the opnening ceremony, the treisure hunt and the party in the evening. The treisure hunt was organized by the students comitee. Every class had "Fadere" -> mentors or guides. We went through Notodden and had to fullfill differnt tasks. Very funny! :)

... pyramid shaped remembrance momument is definitely worth a look before finally arriving at Stavern. Described as Norway's smallest town and affectionately 'known as the dimple of Norway'. Not sure if i would describe it as a dimple but it is definitrly worth a visit a small town which is so laid back. This town also has alot of military history and was once a naval base stood in the ground of Fredriksvern ...

... Friday morning we will travel on to to Sweden. Gothenburg is only three and a half hours away by train. Our taxi driver Karl Roland picked us up promptly at 7:30 am. We really like his personable nature. Again, the taxi meter is intere$ting. After we load up our luggage, the meter starts at $11 dollars. What's it going to cost to the train station this time? I found out yesterday that Paul is sick and so we won't be going to his mountain cabin. Instead, we are going to meet up with a group and board at Kongsberg Skisenter. The highlight of the day is my epic wipe-out. I was coming down this bump/hill that has a steep backside when I saw someone standing right in my way. Having almost no time to react, I turn to the side and try to stop, which is difficult to do ...

... to see the family, even more so than when I was gone for my first study abroad. I think they can relate a lot better to this trip, so I'm really exited to talk with them about it and give them their Christmas presents. It also sounds like it has been a bit of an exciting fall what with my brother off at his first term of college and Dad loosing a bunch of weight and having hernia surgery (which went really well last I heard). It will be really good to be home.

... I forgot to look at the odometer and Joe's aunt tapped me on the shoulder and I saw I was going about 120 km/hr which was 40 over the speed limit. ooops! I did my best to behave after that as I don't fancy spending my first paycheck on a speeding ticket. I slept-in until 11am then went and did some errands with Gro. My work permit is still not at the police station where it should be. It turns out, the office in Hedmark ...
