... the last 5 days reading over my notes every night. I spent the night doing the same, but came to a point where it was no longer helping. I've been looking over this for the past like, month. On rare occasion, I actually feel prepared and quite confident in what I know. While I was worried about getting into work mode, I'm in it, and it didn't take much. It's not a bad thing though... I'm incredibly excited for the conference tomorrow and it's a little surreal that it's finally here.

Oslo, Oslo, Norway carivergaAn overnight train ride (complete with our own WC and shower!) takes us into Norway, a country which has given us excitement, as well as a bit of apprehension throughout our trip, knowing the steep costs we may incur. However, in the end, things weren't so unbearable (though a loaf of bread is from 2 euros...if you're lucky enough to find one). Our hostel did cost the most of any we've stayed in (though Copenhagen looks even ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway fiseb... just to fill this park that he had a master design in his head.
What we didn’t need is the running commentary and cartoon voices and personal interpretations of the sculptures. When we got to the main fountain in the park, Ellen insisted on narrating each panel of the fountain. In the rain. And only half the group had umbrellas.
Just prior to arriving at the park, our dear Ellen gave us strict instructions that if you weren’t on the bus, she ...
... from other things like floor heating in the bathroom. Linda and Thomas lamented that due to the continually falling snow we could not appreciate the view down to the Fjord from the apartment but the snow is such a novelty that we were happy just the same. Dinner was delicous homemade (by Linda) meat pizza, which she constructed while we got a load of Steve and my dirty washing going and Thomas joined us for some beer and conversation. The night continued with more pizza, beer ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway v1213... His documentary won an Oscar though, and that was displayed as well. (Don't tell, but I think I was more interested in Oscar than the raft!) Holmenkollen - This is the most visited tourist site in Norway? Ok... Its a big ski jump. It also includes a ski museum, which I guess might be interesting if you were SUPER into skiing? And why would I want to see an exhibit about the Royal Family skiing? Although, I may not love skiing enough to really ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway gocubs... right at the northern end of the Eidfjord, and Josh made friends with a friendly 82 year old local who was riding around on his shmicko ride on wheel chair and had a brand new digital camera, he spoke great English - like the largest part of the population here does here. We stayed out of town in Bergen because the town has tolls at its entry points and expensive car parks. Norway is such an expensive country to travel in, but totally worth it as it's such a beautiful ...
Oslo, Norway kitty... it was a mixture of them all i don't know, but i took them as a sign to get the hell out of the city. The next two days were spent back in London getting my strength back for the travel through Europe. It was good to be able to chat to Brian about the walk as it had seemed a bit surreal since i had finished it. We had a few beers a walk in Battersea park and dinner with Len, Marina and the kids, a perfect end to the U.K leg. The only hitch was checking the accommodation ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway talamarko... of Oslo was the Viking ship museum and the Statue Park. The Viking ship museum had real life viking ships and other items that showed off how advanced they were for the time. The statue park contained lots of weird nude statues and crazy babies that where happy, sad, angry and, on one statue, attacking a man.
(You can take that to the bank)...
