      ... It has been rationalised that by painting them, there can be a greater appreciation of the images by a wider range of people. The paint used too isn't permanent & can wash away over time, so in future the decision to continue painting them can be reviewed. On the Heritage site one could also walk to the top of the hill where huge Burial Rock Cairns had been built during the late Bronze Age for notable individuals. The museum and outdoor reconstructed Bronze Age ...

      ... for the additional anchors for the zipline, which also ended up including a sneaky trip down the zipline before heading into Stromstad for lunch and a pit stop at sugar heaven :). We left Stromstad about 4pm and went to pick up Cornelia from Kindergarten before going for dinner at a friends of Camilla's - we had delicious peppered salmon and vegetables and then sat out on the deck drinking tea and laughing while Cornelia watched tv inside. What a perfect end to two weeks in ...

      ... Lilletull, and while Treas went to play with Lilletull, Sverre and I made a frame for his trailer, to safely transport some new windows that had been delivered, up to his cabin. Bloody hell, they were heavy, being of course double-glazed, and my back is now suffering, as well as managing to break an arm off my glasses in the process.... Lucky we didn't stay for 2 days or I'd be in big trouble.....

      ... This is going to be interesting...... So I pulled over off the road onto a little clearing especially placed for such contemplative issues.... got out the specification sheet to check the height......Just as I recalled - 2870...... But that's without the sat-tv aerial, which is about 160....so that I've always considered that 3100 to be a safe number..... A fair bit shy of 2.9m...... But, I grabbed the tape measure and gave the van a quick measure-up....and ...

      ... the looks of things, it seems unlikely that any more will be added. But we'll see how things play out.

      • In addition to international travel, we Americans have also been wanting to see more of Norway, both locally and farther away from home. Again, we will be playing it by ear.
      • I also need to continue my passive efforts to learn Norwegian and perhaps become more active about it. I've picked up quite a bit ...
