    ... I slept very well.....wandering out of the sack at about 9.45....
    I received a couple of lovely newsy emails from my sisters Kerri and Deb which was great to hear about what's happening at home. Everyone here goes wide-eyed when they hear we come from Australia, as if it's another planet. "But it is so far...."

    ... were reasonably busy with holiday traffic. This was the only downside of the Swedish portion of the route-a fair portion of our riding was on busy roads rather than designated cycling routes as we'd been accustomed to. We gained the impression too from the very old North Sea cycle route signs-often completely faded away, that cycling isn't a huge pastime in Sweden. Nonetheless the route was still pretty spectacular, although a little unnerving at times!

    ... At about midnight I left everyone to go to sleep (everyone else stayed up till about 3-4am) and I continued to sleep, watch TV and relax for Saturday and Sunday while Camilla was back at work.     ... needed to do some modifications because it was found to have never had the hull-planks attached to the stringers! So we we drilled and screwed and through-bolted them and it was then all good. Then we had Mentsina's sister and her husband around for dinner, and after they'd gone, a chat around the fire until the clock was on the wrong side of 24.00...

    ... About 20.00 it was time to hit the road for home before the sun got too low, so we gave George home orders and away we went. We'd been on a particular road for about 20kms when Treas said.."I think this is that "bad" road again that Haakon mentioned..." "Now you tell me...." ..."..Well, we've come this far, and it seems quite good so far - just a bit winding...." About 10km further on we suddenly see a sign saying "bridge clearance 2.9m"...........
