    ... It has been rationalised that by painting them, there can be a greater appreciation of the images by a wider range of people. The paint used too isn't permanent & can wash away over time, so in future the decision to continue painting them can be reviewed. On the Heritage site one could also walk to the top of the hill where huge Burial Rock Cairns had been built during the late Bronze Age for notable individuals.
