... 6 km in tunnels spiraling up to a total hight of 960 m. We booked the late trip - it is clear anyway - and most of the tourist buses are gone by then.
For the rest we are still surviving on Norwegian food in the evening and our cheese, soups etc from Belgium for lunch. The water heater in the car does an excellent job in preparing 'slow soup'.
Tomorrow we move up higher nord to the Nordfjord and the gletsjer ...

... like a tourist lemming on the tour, or perhaps in the context of this blog, a better analogy is feeling like a tourist rat following the rest of the pack.

While the first time around resulted in some phenomenal pictures, unfortunately, this time the weather did not cooperate, leaving the first train leg from Bergen to Voss enshrouded in clouds and fog. The bus from Voss to Gudvangen was a bit better, resulting in some nice shots of the seemingly ...

We miraculously left the massive train station at the correct exit, walked onto the exact street we needed, and quite literally stumbled in through the hostel doors. We woke to a rainy morning which was a tad disappointing -- I was sure the two rainbows the previous day would bring bright skies and cool air. I was so wrong on that prediction. We enjoyed an early breakfast, packed our lunches, gathered our belongings and headed to the train which was a mere 100 feet from the hotel. The trip to Flam was about 1.5 hours and the scenery was spectacular! Quite honestly, it ...

... s rowing were into the wind, which made the going a bit tough. The scenery is indescribably beautiful. Waterfalls cascade cliffs falling directly into the fjord below. At some points we got so close to the falls that we could feel the force of the water as it hit the surface of the fjord a few metres away from us. It is really difficult to describe just how breathtaking the scenery is and is something that I advise everyone to experience if they got ...
