    ... we knew them, and we had to explain that Vancouver has more people than the entire country of Slovenia! We stayed for the presentation, picked up some gingerbread and returned to Bled.     ... the views would be worth the fee alone. Heading inside we marvelled at the architecture, scale and construction of this castle. Bled Castle was built in the year 1011 which stunned us. This castle hangs off a cliff over a huge lake. Just amazing how at that time they built structures like this. The oldest part of the castle is the tower dating to 1011.
