Early start in Espinho and a brisk walk to train station. I had paid site and checked out but they said I could leave motorhome safely on site until we got back from Porto.
The train into Porto takes about 30 minutes and for €3.25 return it is good value. The day in Porto was absolutely stunning. Perhaps it did not have the grace of Lisbon but it's mix of grand streets and squares, tumbled down abandoned buildings and of course the ...

Day 29- Caldas de Reis to Padron 13.5 miles

It is hard to believe that tomorrow we walk into Santiago de Compostela. We are only about 12 miles away from the city. During the past several days the Camino has been one amazing view after another. I thought how typical this is for me. My greatest disappointments are usually when my expectations are the ...

... arriving in Santiago, and so excited to see it again. Others anticipating what they will experience when they arrive there for the first time. I have no preconceived notions of what lies ahead, but am very much looking forward to it, and anticipating what special significance it will hold for me. I enjoyed dinner with the "pack" I mentioned yesterday, and we had a great walk around Pontevedra after dinner. It is a very large and bustling city. It was actually too much ...

... destroys the glamour of the cities. I guess they aren't as good at cleaning up the graffiti as other places are. Maybe the entire world has a lot of graffiti artists, but it is just more seen in Spain due to the lack of cleaning.
I got to the test center about 2 hours before I was scheduled to take the test. Sometimes I hate being paranoid about getting to places on time because I always find myself sitting around for hours. I guess it wasn't ...
