Separated only by the Pyrenees Mountain range, could Spain and France be any more different? We assumed the two would be quite similar…. how wrong were we? France's countryside was flat and green (away from the Alps) – Spain’s is full of moderate hills and is very dry. France was clean and tidy – Spain is a bit like a rubbish tip and there is graffiti everywhere. France had more public toilets than you could ever need ...

... pour demander á une aubergiste 4 places quelques part sur le sol, dans un coin, je sais pas oú... rien á faire, les coins étaient déja tout pris. C´est alors, qu´elle me conseilla de continuer le chemin, et de me rendre dans l´unique bar de Ferreiros, et de demander á la dame du bar le gìte. Il faisait alors nuit. La dame et son mari nous ont acceuillis á bras ouverts! Nous, et une quizaine d´autres pellerins, avont trouvé refuge ce soir lá ...
