Got 1st class tix. had compartment to ourselves for awhile--laid down & slept. In Meknes 2 others came in.
Nice driver took us to the Cottages. Difficult to find, but he was very nice.
Got in our cottage, Sylvain showed us around. Went to the pool.
Laid down, not feeling well. A/C not working. Sylvain couldn't get it to work, so we moved to another cottage.
Dinner: chicken & couscous--delish.
... sitting. He double checked again, making sure he understood what I wanted: tea in the teapot, ice in the glasses. Oui. I really think he had no idea what we were doing.
Once the black tea had steeped, I slowly poured it over the ice. Voila! Iced tea. So happy. Of course, we only had enough ice for one glass, but by the time we drank that, the rest of the tea in the pot had cooled down considerably (and so had we), so it all worked out very well. The salads were amazing too.
... was beautiful, but even better was the amazing floral scent coming from the flowering trees. Hunter had a Berber tagine, and I had a chicken tangia. We also had Moroccan pastries and mint tea for dessert. It was all quite delicious with beautiful surroundings.
Tonight is the last night of Ramadan here in Morocco. It is one reason why we are going on our day trip tomorrow (everything will be closed for Eid).

The alarm went off at 4 am. Bleh. We had stayed up past 11 pm getting our suitcases and everything ready. We were a bit bleary eyed.
There was already a Moroccan (?) man sitting in the lobby when we went downstairs at 4:45. A few others came after us. Some of them took the 5 am shuttle with us. We were at the airport by 5:05 am. We got checked in then headed to security, which took awhile. There was something in Hunter's backpack they didn't like on the ...
... airport. I shouted for Adel when he arrived and burst into tears again as I hugged him, Hamid and the rest of the guys goodbye.
On the short walk to the taxi I heard my last piece of abuse from the angry shop owner "you are ugly *****" then cried the entire journey to the airport as I took in my last sites of Morocco. Tears streaked down my face as the plane left the runaway on route ...
