He took me to the Olana state historic site, the house and estate of a famous landscape painter, Frederick Church, I downloaded one picture (of course not allowed to take pictures), and I accompanied him to an auction, I love to see the auctioneer going fast and hitting the hammer!

If you turn on Bridge street and go up the hill about 20 more minutes on foot you have Home Depot, Walmart and many stores like that which you usually have to get to by car. Just before leaving Mechanicville we got an email from Lock One Marina that they had still not received our filters.... at least we now knew we would be at our anchorage at a good hour! We left just after 8 am to tackle the last two locks in the Champlain Canal and the Federal Lock at Troy.
