... Royale service, and I couldn’t resist Champagne with black currant liqueur. I’ve never had one before. My choices were Lobster and Scallop Sausage with Root Vegetables and Citrus Sauce as an appetizer, Venison Saddle with Vegetables and Foie Gras Bread Pudding as a main, and Panna Cotta with Grapefruit Sections in Pink Grapefruit Soup for dessert.

It was kind of fru-fru food but very tasty. And even at the reasonable sounding rate of $25 for lunch, ...

My flight to New Zealand is in 4 days and I think I have everything ready to go. It is hard to say though because I have never planned for a trip quite like this.

The main supplies I will be bringing are:

  • 65 Liter Backpack

The Beautiful town of Kent

This was a very nice little town on the border on Connecticut and New York. It was so noce we almost stayed for the winter. The problem was that it was down in a valley so getting out of the valley with icy roads would have been a problem. During the summer there was the Houstonic River that ran along side the town. This place was beautiful during the fall. Also saw Bull's Covered Bridge. Too bad they did not have a campground ...
