Since Jager is such a popular drink here and I've been seeing bottles laying on the streets like crazy, I've decided to start keeping a sort of photo diary of them. The jager photos that I'm posting are from only 3 days in the altstadt. Day 1: 2 photos, Day 2: 7 and Day 3: 8. Eventually I might create a photo gallery website for all of them because I have a feeling that it's going to become a quite large album....

... was also amazing. The five towns are connected by wonderful walking paths, and traversing them is the highlight of any Cinque Terre trip. You walk along cliffs falling down into the most turquoise ocean I've ever seen, surrounded by prickly pear, olive groves, and grape vines. At each town we felt obliged to sample their version of pizza, gelato, or cappuccinos. When the sun went down, we crawled onto the big rocks in the harbor to watch the sky ...

Today I logged on to CNN and saw these stories: Young girl raped by possibly 10 people while onlookers did nothing to stop it, 12 dead, 31 injured on base in Texas, Mother accused of murdering one child and attempted murder for the other one for the second time!, 11th body pulled out of suspected serial killers home, baby found alive in box. I haven't heard nearly that many horror stories here. <br><br>7.) How's the beer? Finally, a GOOD question, but ...

... on after doing a bit of shopping to Freiburg. As the gateway to the black forest, we caught a train through to a town called Titisee and did a quick hike in the nearby hills. The black forest turns out to be quite large and we didn't have much time so after our day trip we had to keep going, leaving most of the hikes and black forest towns behind us. We caught a train that followed the Rhine up to Cologne, a lively town that was mostly destroyed in the war ...

This is not a great adventure, more a welcome back.<br><br>It is great to be back in Villiprott to visit our old friends since the 70ies. Now I have been staying with them for two weeks and we have done a lot of different things. This part of Germany have many interesting places to visit, both nature and culture.<br>

We learned rather quick that the streets in Germany do not run in straight lines but rather weave in and out leaving you know idea where you are going. And asking for directions...forget about it. The players even came back out for a second lap of honour to celebrate with us, which was just awesome. I guess it was one of those 'We were there nights' that no one will ever forget and it kind of felt like we had finally arrived in the World Game!
