    Day 5: Germany

A travel blog entry by creeky on Jul 10, 2015

Day 3 of our tour saw us travel from Amsterdam to Germany. After a few hours on the coach we arrived in Boppard, where we were able to walk on the banks of the Rhine during a bit of free time. The weather today has been awesome so we grabbed an ice cream and admired the scenery. After our free time finished we got onto the Rhine cruise to St. Goar. The cruise had the option to buy some food or drink so I decided to try a ...

The motorways were a ...

... is the best way of learning anything new!

On Sunday we went for a walk along the Neckar. Because of the warm weather, all of the snow is melting in the Black Forest and creating high water levels. It wasn't high enough to flood over the path, but definitely noticeable. The days are slowly getting longer again and the setting sun really lit up the trees. Not packing the scarf away just yet though...

... couldn’t remember anything from when we were there before. Why didn’t we schedule time in Switzerland, I wondered? The question was answered when I purchased our lunch - $45 for two sandwiches, two waters, a small pasta salad, and a couple of croissants. Yikes! We were lucky the Canadian dollar was enjoying an all-time high compared to the Swiss Franc when we lived there.

Our final destination for the day ...
