The days of our lives
We are loving it here in Latvia - though every country we go to we find reasons for staying on longer or coming back again one day...
The base here, with its heavily iron-saturated water, steep, dodgy stairs and much need for love and repair, is used over the year as a training center for DTS (Discipleship Training Schools), Counseling Schools and training in Biblical Studies - as well as having many team-building groups and camps through during the Summer months.

First Impressions
Latvia.
And to think we couldn't have even told you where exactly on a map the place was a year ago.
This country is about a 1/4 the size of our own Aotearoa, with approximately 2.3 million for population (around 56% of them being Latvian and 32% Russian) - sparse indeed compared to the average country in Europe.
We find ourselves presently settled at the YWAM base in very rural Valdemarpils (it's okay, I'm fine...I'm coping...so far...) being about 2 hours ...
