... the bus again to head to the the town of Marseillan on the Mediterranean. The group went on a private tour of the Noilly Prat, which is the maker of a vermouth. Johnny volunteered to see what is was like to stir from the top of the barrel. It was a very big operation and we were shocked to hear that they only had 15 employees. Evidently there is a lot of waiting around while the vermouth is aging from one stage to the next. Then, came the tasting - ...

But I digress… The last night there, we went to a quiet, hole in the wall bar that was completely empty except for the maybe 10 of us, and that had three euro pints. From there the group separated a bit as my host had a Queen cover band concert to go to and my friends from ...

... vanished as we listened to the hits of Ana Mohala (we still don’t know who she is, but her hips did not lie). This wrapped up our Belgian leg on a great note. We have truly found the country and the people fantastic and it was a magical start to our European adventure. We then prepared for the 12-hour journey to the south of France, and hopefully some sun.

France - Two days, 1050km, around 100 euros in road tolls and one sick fiancée later we made it ...
