Horse and Carriage country-Romania

... definitely a place you would love!

Time to leave Hungaria…But just before we cross into Romania, we have a traditional goulash soup, and I can keep the little pot as a souvenir! It is a thing I developed over the years, Buying/keeping things from the countries that people use in every day life. Things I will use (one day) when I have my own home somewhere.

As soon as we drive into Romania, I fall in love with it. Cannot really explain, but I just do. The scenery ...

... t be bothered to hitchhike! It was an early afternoon, it was really hot and humid there, and we were eating a pizza, drinking a cold bear and were decorating our sign "Conztanza" with different designs - just not to move our butts. Finally, we went to the road, not being too sure if we`d stop anyone. Me and Marcin hadn`t managed to take off our backbacks, we only had shown the cardboard with the sign and somebody ...

Dannube's delta

Ok, I am still very impressed of what I have seen there. It's really great to see how people succeded to conserve all their traditions and just to simply admire the way they're spending they're lifes ... so simple, but at the the same they are entirely satisfied and they don't wish for anything else.

On the road again

... fire at night - never figured that out, although I did ask (see above paragraph on language issues). Cooking on propane stove with 2 burners that work. I mostly did dishes in cold water, and chopped vegetables with a dull knife. Never underestimate cooking/sous chef skills. I can peel potatoes and mince garlic and carrots with any Frenchman. Enough of that. I moved from camp to Sf Gheorghe with a local family. Total happenstance how I found a place to stay ...

... to. So what I am doing in another culture I don't understand? I'll figure that out at some point. My hope is that I figure out where I do belong. And for all of you traveller's that gave advice. Most of it has been good. But couldn't someone have recommended I travel with the really important stuff: my own corkscrew and beer opener??????? Thanks to Bob and Shirley for taking care of the homefront. The even washed my field truck. I forgot to tell Bob ...

Planes, buses and boats

... were, since many people seem to look at my hand to see if I am married, and seem rather shocked that I am not. On Friday, I take a boat to Sf. Gheorghe, where the Danube meets the Black Sea. This is where the banding camp is. Low on computer battery, and need to go find an electrical adaptor.
