I didn't think I word ever say the word "luxury" in the same sentence as "Qatar airport". You see last time we were in Qatar we had a 20 hour layover which we took advantage of. We spent the day exploring the city and the night sleeping on some uncomfortable metal seats at the airport. We even debated snoozing in the prayer …

I need to go and get the boys up so we can catch our flight. We fly from Doha to Chicago. It is direct, but a 14 hour flight.
Again, if you get a chance to visit here, go for it. Everyone speaks English (at least everyone we encountered) and the customer service is incredible.

... by all of the vendors - people were very friendly and kind - offering us many samples and wanting to assist us in any way. After about an hour and a half there - taking photos and attempting to find a taxi - we ended up finding a man who offered to take us back in his private car. Foreigh workers, mainly men catching flights for Asia and Africa; women totally covered but with magnificent eye make-up! manicures which must have cost a day's wage - anything showing was sending really strong messages; and extended families- obviously cashed up - heading out to Europe - for epic shopping trips???

... contemporary style. Being centrally located it attracts businessmen as well and in fact there were several dining along next to us that night.
Service and presentation are impeccable and I noticed that everything was fresh with quality ingredients. Dishes were classic I can say but at the same time had an innovate twist.
