When we started floating, it was a bit overcast, but by the time we were done, it was nearly 90 degrees and it is dry here, so a totally different kind of heat than I am used to. ... around a bend in the cave, I began opening and closing my eyes in absolute darkness, laughing at the fact that I kept expecting some light to show once my eyes adjusted. I remember thinking about the angler fish and how if there was a little egg-shaped light bouncing around off in the distance, I would totally give in.

To give you an idea of how cold it is under your feet: just 20 yards into these caves, icicles hung from the ceiling ...

We are officially packed! With one backpack each we're all but waiting to board the plane. Saturday morning cannot come soon enough!
