    ... in circles trying to get me back on but we were having no joy so we had to take a bit of a detour. Not exactly what we wanted on such a long drive. Again we got back on track and there was just time enough for one more missed turning before we eventually made it to the campsite at about 4.30 so it had been a long day. We parked up and then realised that we needed some money so we had to unpark and drive to the nearest bank and this involved driving very slowly around ...

    Another new habit I noticed is to wish everyone a nice day. This is fine in America, where you go shopping once in a while and the cashier sends you off with a smile and "Have a nice day!" -in a pleasant voice ending on a higher note. Now, here, where you shop multiple times a day, this gets really annoying.
