    ... in circles trying to get me back on but we were having no joy so we had to take a bit of a detour. Not exactly what we wanted on such a long drive. Again we got back on track and there was just time enough for one more missed turning before we eventually made it to the campsite at about 4.30 so it had been a long day. We parked up and then realised that we needed some money so we had to unpark and drive to the nearest bank and this involved driving very slowly around ...

    ... do so. This is a far cry from the old times where one just sort of knew it was time to tie the knot. Both parties sort of knew, one was brave enough to sprout the topic and the other nodded in agreement. The happy couple paid their own wedding, they both went to choose rings to their liking and picked a date in the near future.     ... and the Checkpoint Charlie museum (which I would only recommend going to if you can be bothered reading copious amounts of small print information - I did not enjoy it).     ... part, and I joined them on their last day for a 10k walk. Very 'gezellig' and great to spend some time with Dutch kids. Regina is the daughter of John's cousin Erwin, and his wife Mirjam, who we stayed with.
