We set the alarm for 6:30 so we could be to the 7:00 hot breakfast. It was a bit disappointing (at this point we are in St Catherines Ontario). The boys ate a few pancakes. I made lunches for the car ride, and we got going soon after. I knew our route had us right next to Lake Ontario, so I pulled over to see it as soon as I could. I am posting a bunch of pictures from that. ...

Welcome to Quilt Camp! I've been at Higgins Lake this weekend with 33 women from my quilt guild (Across the Square Quilters from Charlotte, MI) and friends of the guild. For a toll of $4 you get to cross the awesome Mackinac Bridge which takes you from St. Ignace to Mackinaw ...

It had so much stuff inside I didn't even buy a thing which for me is a miracle. There was just too much to look at. So I just looked while Jim took pictures, lots and lots of pictures. It ...

... it was a bed to sleep in. Laurie believes bugs were crawling on her thru the night, but I think it was because she was boot lipping the wine bottle before bed. We met the caretakers of the island hideaway at 9:00 this morning. Very nice couple who helped us take everything to the island. And everything was a lot of stuff… Sure wish I would have packed lighter. It was cool this morning, but no rain. What a relief! The ...
