... steaming hot-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookies, just for us. All we could do was look at each other and smile as we took a bite into heaven. We then headed off to explore the town some more, wandering in and out of all the shops. It was pure ecstasy to feel the sun on our backs and look up to see the mountains in front of us.

Our last big ride of my trip..........

Digger has returned to Tassie so with Willy & Trudy along with Willy's son Darryl and his wife, Jessica, rode to Gunnison, Colorado and from there through some of the most beautiful country I have seen with lots of great sweepers for motorcycles. Stayed O/N at Basalt and then rode onto Aspen and up over 'Independence Pass' onto Buena Vista before heading for Willy's place. Rode 512 miles (825kms) in 2 days. For the first time ...

The next morning we woke up to a gorgeous view of hot air balloons over Snowmass Village. It couldn’t have been more relaxing and picturesque. ... Jack suggested that we find a cabin for the next few nights. Luckily, we stopped at the forest service office where we met a local resident who suggested we try Beaver Lake Estates where they have three guest cabins for rent at the bargain basement price of $35 per night!

Drove up to Aspen to see Richard Ford my grandson. Had dinner and walked around Aspen went to bed and drove back to Centenial to stay with her until Tuesday Morning.
