Getting There
We decided to take a short day trip to Waterville last weekend. We'd planned on going to Tye (also known as Wellington) but decided we didn't feel like so much highway driving. Instead we took the back way to Waterville over the Palisades (check out our route).

We drove through the mountains to our daughter-in-law's parents’ home in Tacoma Washington where we will stay for the next week or so. The sun was shining in Cle Elum, but as we crossed the mountains we drove into the clouds and they stayed with us ...

Cashmere home of the druggies and alcoholics. It's a small town where everyone, and I mean everyone, knew your business. Lived there for 10 years and I still don't miss that place. Maybe family, but I hardly talk to my old friends there. They are busy living their life.

In this town it was here where I watch Tim (the gaint) throw my worthless and unfortunately my father off our porch in order for my mom, brothers, and myself to leave.

... picked me up, to avoid walking the same terrain back, and we bought more seafood in town to grill for dinner. We were hopeful the bear might make another appearance, but it was not to be. However, we did get a visit from a doe. Made to back to bed by 11:00 for another long day--so many hours of daylight!

Beyond all belief, we ran out of food! So I managed to eek out three tuna salad sandwiches which were gobbled up in a hurry, and we finished the evening (6 hours later) telling stories around the fire. It was so much fun and we're really glad we extended the invitation.
