After breakfast and photos Mr Yumoto drove us to the train. We went to Nagano then ran to catch an earlier train to Matsumoto, this caused much confusion at the gate but we made it . Boys relaxed in the hotel. We explored the town - nakamichi street and nawate street. Found the best indigo fabric shop ever, and bought some treasures, was also given lots of fabric gifts! ... is the desolate wilderness on the northern island Hokkaido; the other one is the mountain range near Nagano, known as the Japanese Alps. Since only the latter one is also suitable for a weekend trip while it's also much closer to home, the Alps were the most logical choice for me.

Spend around 4 nights in Matsumotta, used it as a base to do the Magome- Tsumago Trail, Kamikochi and the Wasabi farm

The hostel I stayed in, had a great escape plan, one route was the front door, the other through a window, unfortunately someone would need to cut back all the trees+ plans in order to have a quick escape :)
