... Castle, which as fate would have it looked awesome under the snow. Adam found some more stitch merch including a coin with him printed in front of the castle. When we where inside I introduced him to the stairs of death... really you could easily die on these stairs they are more of a wall then stairs. After a quick tour we went back to the station to catch a bus to the hotel. Stopping only once to check out an anime store.

Luke took kids out today and I stayed at the hospital all day. Kids went to the castle in Matsumoto and pottered around. I will get those photos tomorrow. Mason is improving daily. He had his second round of physio today and was up on his crutches. Fingers crossed he keeps improving. ...

Matsumoto is a very cute city with its own castle (not that I have seen it). Luke will take the kids out today to do some exploring. Mason doing really well, he can stand with weight on his good leg on crutches. Not allowed to put any more than 10kg of weight on his bad leg for 6 weeks. He has endured everything thrown at him from wash downs to suppositories and nothing has phased him. Very ...

... They had a few nice pocket watches and Swiss wrist watches for sale and some other interesting clocks. Including a number of carved wooden ones and one shaped like a robot! There was even a clock inside a stack of rocks. They had a number of interesting jewellery items for sale made out of the inner working of watches. But we managed to pull ourselves away from all of this and make our way back to the hotel to pick up our bags.

... for pumping water around and found a massive ship in the middle of the next room.

On the Ship were statues of all the different fortune gods worshiped around japan (I think there was about six of them). The ship was intricately carved and each statue was portrayed as almost rolling in wealth. We then looked at the exhibit cabinets and saw a number of different ways to portray guardian spirits, they ranged from flat wooden carvings and faces painted on wood ...
