Taketomi town covers seven islands of the Yaeyama Islands; its town hall is located in Ishigaki City. Strange as it may sound, but considering the islanders' convenience, that is very reasonable. ... So the boat was almost full. Anyway, the guide and driver was funny and we enjoyed the cruise very much. The highlight of the cruise was a visit to the largest sundari tree of Japan. The boat stopped near the tree, which enabled my mum to walk down to the tree. The tree had unique board roots and amazed us. The cruise fare was JPY1,500 and it was not bad at all. After the cruise, we took a ferry to Ishigaki Island and then to Taketomi Island, where we stayed for the night.

... Still, it was good for my mum to try a new experience for her. Anyway, that was all for our Ishigaki Island trip. We returned our car and the rental car shop drove us to the ferry port. Our next destination was Iriomote Island.
