Fighting ivy.

A travel blog entry by puffinspotting on Jun 25, 2015

Pruned ivy and watered different areas of the garden. Swam twice. Into a neighbouring village for an art exhibition in a 400 yo castle dungeon and drinks on a terrace high up the mountain, overlooking the valleys below.

Dinner in the prairie garden before returing to Grasse for a pint in the square with the Pols.

As we were camped down the road from Auron at a little spot called Isola, we took a call to drive to Pont Charles Albert and start at the timing mat. This was a good call, as there were narrow sections, tunnels, traffic furniture ...

... finally made it to Nice and began our 10 minute walk to our accommodation, Hotel Victor Hugo, which we found without too many problems. Fortunately the owner, Giles and his adorable little dog, Cosette were both waiting for us.
Giles has part of the bottom floor of this charming building which is situated on Rue Victor Hugo, hence the name. He has converted the rooms he owns into B&B/hotel style accommodation with a Les Miserables theme (Victor ...
