We hired (what turned out to be pretty inadequate! ie ******!!) mountain bikes from the bike shop in Bourg and headed up to Les 2 Alps in the van. Four bikes in there is a squeeze!! We tested the bikes on the cross country trails then bought two ...

On the botchy field!! Once we were set up we decided to attempt the Alpe d'huez. We made it! 1hr 20mins. Tough ride but spectacular! Not quite in time for the rain to start but luckily we were most of the way down the mountain before it got too heavy. Loving our new campsite ...
