So me and Kate have looked after two smashed people now... Our two other room mates are passed out and as we try to help them get to bed they are running away and locking themselves in toilets after we have literally dragged them into bed because they "couldn't walk" so we have given up, told them we aren't rooming with them anymore and left them to sleep where ever they are. We found a really old Absinthe store and grabbed a cheeky bottle for later, including instructions on how to prepare it with sugar and dripping water. Nice! Steph also found the old town chocolatier who played mind games with her order (Parlez vous Anglais). The funicular took us to Fourviere, giving us a great view of Lyon, ...

... Lyon is a beautiful city built between two rivers: Le Rhône and its tributary Le Saône. As is the case with all French towns, the city has a ton of history. However, the contemporary sunday morning experience is one of laid-back cool at the market, with the food looking and tasting terrific and the tourist blending nicely with the "oh so chic" locals (even with their little shopping jeeps in tow) - almost Parisian. After the market, A&M showed us ...
