    ... records and books for sale (and under one stall were 2 very old French horns and a bugle - pity I couldn't fit them into my case. And then came the food stall - fruits and veg, prosciutto, cold meats, breads, olives, candied nuts, etc. there was even escargot. the French are so polite - none of this crowding around the front of the stall to be served - they all line up in an orderly fashion and wait ever so patiently.     Another walk round a local Etang (Andy and I were keen to go to a chateau but most are 1 1/2 hrs drive away and the boys 'vetoed' it!) with a lovely lunch in a local Auberge - although the service got slower and slower as the restaurant filled up and the solo chef struggled to keep up! Magret du canard (duck breast) for me and the boys and 'une piece de Boucher' (a piece of meat from the butcher!) for Andy which turned out to be an excellent steak thankfully. ...

    ... large and small. We saw a grebe with a juicy fish hanging out it's mouth, giant white egrets at a distance and a massive muskrat swimming right in front of us.
    Once back home the boys had a chilly dip in the pool which I gave a miss, still feeling rather delicate from the tummy bug.
