I arrived at the airport about 5.00pm so 3 hours early and walked about getting a few bits as gifts for family and had a coffee and cake, it was a very long wait but at least I was warm and dry.       ... but I zipped up my coat over my chin and walked quickly to keep warm. There were dozens of joggers going around the lake all of different ages, nice to see so many people keeping fit and healthy.       It's a early morning flight to Hamburg, 7.30am from Birmingham airport so up at 4.00am and on the road for 4.30am. I was a little worried about the weather as snow had been forecast over night, I only saw a couple of flurries on the way to the airport so not as bad as they forecast thankfully.
