On Sunday we hopped in the car and headed for Hamburg. Made it out of Boppard just in time, as we were told that the two highways along the Rhine heading in the direction we wanted to go were going to be shut down for a "Bike Day" event. Whew!

It was a long drive. For whatever reason, German authorities have decided that they need to build big walls, or plant solid thickets of trees along ...

This was the perfect option for only being here one day. The bus took ...

Went to see where they repair. Lufthansa and customer plans. Couldn't take pictures inside, but neat facility. Got up close to 747 being overhauled. Saw two 747 for a middle Easter rich guy, being outfitted. In all a cost of about a billion dollars. Enjoyed some free time in Hamburg Olster Lake. Rode on a solar powered ...

Hamburg: A city full of Hamburgers

... to store really important commodities like coffee and chocolate haha. Now they are just used as carpet factories. At the end of the bridge that goes through the warehouse district you can see the new part of Hamburg, which just looks like a standard city full of apartment buildings. Right on the edge of the canal is the ephilarmonie building which has been under construction for over 10 years and has cost the city millions and millions of dollars. Seems pretty ridiculous if you ...
