The day started off perfectly. I woke up to a stunning sky- crystal blue with not a cloud present. I immediately felt like wearing a dress and looking a bit better than yesterday (2 jackets+ muddy boots) because I knew the day was going to be awash with beauty and it was the least I could do. Sunday morning found us backpacking to the Munich train station for Italy. The ride is about 350 miles to Venice (Venezia). Our train had reserved 6-passenger compartments.
