... into the cathedral. Only cost 2 euros each and that gave us entry to the Cathedral and the Museum. There were also other options, but this seemed the easiest to start with. While we were waiting in line, a number of female tourists were turned away from the cathedral line because of their inappropriate dress. They are pretty strict at the door - no short shorts, dresses have to be only two fingers above the knee, no shoulders showing. It was all pretty funny - and ...

So into down town Milan to pick up our bags, thank God for Tom Tom then off we go again, yep you guessed it back past the airport. ... is also the remains if a canal near our apartment with an old lock attributed to Leaonard da Vinci.

The main part of the city is around the Duomo which is also where La Scala is located. The cathedral is second in size only to St Peter's at the Vatican. It is very ornate on the outside. We will be going in later in our stay. Next to the Duomo is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II which is the oldest shopping mall in Europe. Beautiful structure especially the roof. As you ...
