... about 1 hour on the boat. There is residential along the shoreline and half way up the mountain most of the way around the lake, the further we get away from Como although it begins to thin out and clear townships can be seen.
Menaggio is, like all the other towns, a holiday destination and at this time of year most of the places are closed. We find somewhere to have lunch and then spend the afternoon wandering through the alleyways ...

After our long trip from Chamonix we arrived pretty late in Milan. Even though our hotel was off the main circle we were able to spend that night near Duomo thanks to tram line 14. I can't even begin to explain how breathtaking Duomo is. It's truly one of the best churches I've ever seen and I'd strongly recommend you to see it at night. The next day we hung around Bellagio, did some shopping, sipped on plenty of espressos while sitting over the lake and swam.
That night we had a yummy pizza sitting on a park bench overlooking the lake.

The next day we were very sad to be leaving as we really had a great time at Bellagio and would recommend it to everyone! The only regret is that we didn't stay longer :( ...
