... People chatted quite a bit in the carriage and moved about to get good photos. I thought of you and Dad often, Mum ... Doing the same trip and loving it! Rather nice to follow in your footsteps. It was just outstanding. I loved it. Would actually just sit back and do it again, soaking it all in. Said goodbye to Gaudenz at Brig. Arrived at Zermatt and very easy to find the hotel. Great day. Many thanks to my travel companion! He's the one with the 'other' red ...

While booking in Ken explained his family history to the receptionist, so naturally this process took longer than it should have as she was very excited. Then Ken went down to organise internet and was gone for ages as the receptionist was involving more people in his story. Went down to the bar for pre dinner drinks, very civilized, and found myself alone in the corner
