... be one of only a few guests at the hotel. Dinner tonight was a steak at restaurant named Don Giovanni's. Food was very good. Three sons of the founder run the restaurant. We met two of them. They shared some thoughts on where to visit on the Adriatic Coast after Termoli. Much of what they shared, we did not understand. Somehow they came to think that Jerry speaks Italian.

After breakfast we drove to the Gargano peninsula, which is a national park and is a mountainous area jutting out into the Adriatic. You can see it for a long way as you approach it, as it rises from miles of flat farmland. The temperatures have dropped as have the prices of the campgrounds. From 30 to 40 Euros a night to 16! Good for us.
