... be one of only a few guests at the hotel. Dinner tonight was a steak at restaurant named Don Giovanni's. Food was very good. Three sons of the founder run the restaurant. We met two of them. They shared some thoughts on where to visit on the Adriatic Coast after Termoli. Much of what they shared, we did not understand. Somehow they came to think that Jerry speaks Italian.

You can see it for a long way as you approach it, as it rises from miles of flat farmland. There are two religious sites in the mountains, around which have grown large towns catering for pilgrims who come in their hoards. We stopped at the first town, Monte Sant Angelo, and went to see the shrine where a ...

... others paced the road. They had on various states of dress. All very interesting. Our final destination is a delightful camp ground on the beach. The temperatures have dropped as have the prices of the campgrounds. From 30 to 40 Euros a night to 16! Good for us. The campgrounds are emptying out as the Italians go back to work and they tourists start to head back home. We might have it all to ourselves soon. Yeah ...
