Funny enough i ran into my friends mother who was traveling home to Spilinga as well. In the winter the town is the definition of ghost town. ... even more heavenly by the fresh basil she had me add. We ate at the table made of chestnut, that was given to her by her mother, and then extended by my Uncle. She gave Louise and I each a parting gift of a beautiful set of white cotton sheets and pillowcases. I was glad we were able to spend some time with her.
There was a bit of excitement this afternoon as a forest fire broke out just above where Louise and Deron were staying and ...

... hugged me and kissed me and Louise also. He kept saying how fortunate he was to have us there. I think my Zia Maria is starting to dread saying goodbye. She held on to me pretty tight tonight. Tomorrow will be difficult as we will have to leave behind renewed ties (that were already strong to begin with) and bear my aunt's tears, of which there will be many. We have created many new memories that will carry us until next time around. I guess I just have to be happy with ...
