    ... with 4. The gondola guys can certainly handle their boats with the single paddle all worked on one side, but from three different positions on the rollock thing. They can take the gondola around a corner close to buildings without touching, past each other, and even reverse. I have no idea what the technique is, but it works.     ... because we have a lot of that type of stuff planned for our time in Rome (and Pompeii), but we did go inside Saint Mark's Basilica which was pretty neat. The architecture is really intricate and beautiful.

    While on our cruise we will be visiting Dubrovnik - Croatia, Ephesus - Turkey, Santorini - Greece, and Katakolon (Olympia) - Greece. I'll update about our excursions and time on the ship once we arrive in Florence on the 14th or 15th.

    ... when we walked to try and find a bathroom we saw that the square was actually just a couple of metres away. We went into the square and there were heaps of pigeons there.     ... that. We all met back at the apartment for lunch then all the girls went off for a bit of a shopping spree. The boys just stayed back at the apartment till 5:30 when we were meeting the girls at a restaurant. The restaurant was really nice and the food was delicious.
