It was sooooo cold in Frankfurt, we didn't want to spend much time here since we had no winter clothing. WE got in late, went to our hotel, then back to the airport to get our flight to Bangkok moved up. We though it would be at 8 that night, but they managed to get us on the next flight out, which was pretty much within the hour. Woohooo! I also kept speaking Italian in Germany... so confused with all the languages.

Without an official job offer, I took advantage of my free time and joined Jon at his conference in Heidelberg. As it turns out, the official job offer was coming, but that comes later . . . So, I arrive fresh as a daisy from my long nap and full from my many meals I had on the plane ride only to find I must cart my own carry-on bags and myself down metal stairs to the tarmac and over to a bus in the very cold morning in Frankfurt. There were some really cool paintings in there, plus all these random pencil drawings, like pictures where he had been planning what his next painting was. It was interesting to read about him and see exactly how he planned out his creations.
