... I have decided that I will also take a 23K today rather than 32K. There is a huge mountain to scale. If I maintain my 22K or schedule after that, I will reach Santiago next Thursday. Today, we have a Canda so aim just enjoying a cup of coffee then off on the Camino. It is shorter overall today but I think the the climb is steeper. Later: Boy was I right. It was so hard to go up a Canda. It was a trail through stream nod rocks with very vertical jaunts up the rocks. It was only 6k but I was totally bonked at the top with 19K to go. At the halfway point, I met up again ...

.....really Julie I will......!! Check me out I'm on a campsite way up in the mountains having been bathing in two different sets of thermal waters (an old Roman site and then a river which had thermal currents).....then I splashed about like a fool clambering up a mountain stream.....then I walked up a mountain and then I became very tired and that's why this is all your getting.

... which seemed empty when we arrived, being a couple of hours too early for dinner - again! We checked out the Roman bridge (top attraction on TripAdvisor, but nothing special) and found a casual place full of locals by the river to have some fish and a bottle of Mateus Rose for Eur 6! When we headed back to the car, the town seemed much busier with the bars showing yet ...
