... was a huge tank filled with all sorts of fish, which you could see from almost every area. On the outer perimeter was all the other exhibits which included penguins, otters, and other assorted fish. On Monday 21st August we left Povoa de Vazim to continue South to Peniche, a journey of 135 miles. ... called Belem, the Portugues word for Bethlehem and enjoyed a day touring an absolute beautiful Monastery and the Belem Tower. Both have been declared World Hertiage sites. The architecture is extremely ornate, it is amazing the craftsmanship of the buildings from the 15th century. Tomorrow we are heading to the coast of Portugal, to enjoy a small fishing village and to hopefully find a beach. We both miss the beaches already.
