... closer and closer, until the source came into view and the folk music over a tannoy could be distinctly heard. This was the fruit and veg lady with her truck who on seeing us stopped beside our caravan, dropped the side to reveal crates of produce, from which we chose grapes, figs and a bag of cookies (not fruit or veg, I know, but David likes something with his morning coffee). Later in the day a van comes which roasts chicken with Piri-Piri seasoning. You simply ...

We have a beautiful breakfast in the lounge at Carmo's. We can't eat outside as it is too cold and later it starts raining. What a contrast from yesterday. We head off for Viseu. Yesterday I decided to tag on the back of the pack. HiHo went from 105 to 155 very quickly but I hen decided it wasn't a good idea and backed off down to 110.

We've seen lots of eucalypts on the side of the road in plantations, mostly blue gums, ...

    Sátão Camping... Michelin Cooking Weekend!!!

We drove 50 mins to Sátão from Viseu after restocking for the weekend at the supermarket. A gourmet weekend was in order and it's not disappointed one bit. Hand peeled prawns in garlic, olive oil and chorizos, traditional Portuguese rolled pork with a local stuffing smothered in onions, pepper, salt and pepper seasonings, large fish kebabs, aubergine & halloumi parcels, cocktails shaken!!! It's all too much holiday fun... Time to travel Monday ...
