A few Days at Cape Verde
We arrived at Mindelo on the island of Sao Vicente in the the Cape Verde Islands in the early hours of November 29. Our first impression was a surprise at how many yachts were here, both on anchor and in a well established marina. We were expecting a third world country but found a well established town with a mixture of modern shops and traditional markets.

... weer terug naar ons resort. Morgenavond nog even het dorp in, want er zijn hier dorpsfeesten ivm een processie komende donderdag en dan is het woensdag tijd voor de (lange) terugtocht. Eerst weer de oversteek met de boot. Halve dag wachten in Mindelo, met het propellervliegtuig naar Sal, en dan om 1.00 de nachtvlucht terug naar huis.

Departure at first light
... mean feat here due to limited availability of pretty much everything. We have cleaned, scrubbed, repaired and shopped ourselves dry and are now looking forward to getting the sails out and enjoying the sail. Hopefully our next blog will see us clear of the staggering sights of the Cape Verde landscape.

Shooting Touch Sabbatical Camp visits Sao Vicente
... drills that did not require a basket such as passing, dribbling and rebounding drills. I had somewhat a guideline and schedule to the camp. That could buy us three days to buy time to see if we could have new backboard and rims for the other half of the court.
These kids were like sponges, they listened to every instruction we gave and practiced the drills with plenty of repetition. It was almost like the 80-degree weather did not faze them at all. Like each and every camp ...
