Lovely little place where Columbus stopped for water on his voyages. Went for a walk and found a bar with wifi. When we got back to the ship we had a very late lunch at about 2.15. Didn't bother with a sweet as afternoon tea started at 2.30 so had a tea cake and cakes instead. In the evening went to the dancing after champagne at the jewellery store. We'd got an invite but didn't buy anything. Then late night ...
... Gran Canaria for our last week here before we are off to London! It's sure been nice to be warm this last week, especially when I hear for family and friends that it's been hovering around -30 at home. Sorry guys ;). Adios! Now the worst bit walking, dragging ...
Late breakfast inside as cloudy but after weather improved we go for drive to Chipude stopping off at the Airport to see the magnificent terminal that is only used twice a day! We then drive onto Alajero for quick walk around before making for Chipude, stopping to admire the view of the Forteleza on the way. Nice lunch in Bar Sonia then onto El Cercado and Las Hayas before retuning home. After a cuppa ...
Another sunny day and we leave by at 10.00 to tour the very different rugged north of the island. We drive across to Hermigua but do not stop in the town but at the coastal miradors and arrive in the pretty cobbled town of Agula. It's not sunny here until 23rd February as the town is dwarfed by cliffs that hide the sun until then. We lunch in old school before continuing the very scenic drive to Vallehermoso. We take an out of town walk to the reservoir with great views of the ...
