A distant trip. Expressions of "moments in time" are lost; filled in by current thoughts and memories. I could be upset with myself, but this is real life. Being upset would dilute the learning experience. Truth is, a whirlwind of new rides and adventures consume me when I return from Portugal and Spain. Writing gets put on the back burner. Three …

... I'll soon be moving on.

Turns out, Albufeira is fantastic! the old town is build on a cliff overlooking a rugged coastline--and then there's this tunnel you can go through that leads to the ocean--and at night the bars around the plaza are booming with dance music and some really good live bands...and 3 Euros for a fish dinner? Can't beat that!

A nice hike along the rocky coast heading east as well...

I then began to ask a couple questions related to culinary appropriation. -I asked him what he thought was the biggest influence from Africans/Afro-Europeans. His reply was that they had a large impact on spices and how things are seasoned. -I asked him if that influence came from from the past or present interactions. His ...

Beaching it up in Faro!

... the mainland. We went back to the hostel to freshen up then went back down to the marina for dinner. It was so nice sitting in the sun having a drink and watching the sun set over the marina. The restaurant looked like a really nice place but the food was actually budget as! Could've bought my fish patties from countdown! Kept up the classy ness by stopping in for a mcflurry on the way home. Off to Lisbon ...

For the money, about 50eu, this place was perfect...no frills, no problems. They stored our bikes for us in the lobby. What more could ya need? Maybe the internet? It wasn't working. Seems to be common theme in Portugal. The hotel is walking distance to town but still quiet. The included breakfast can be skipped...canned fruit and watered down juice. The worst espressos on the trip. But hey, there are cafe's every where in Portugal.
