... shuttle bus to catch to Gatwick North terminal as the bus number and stop number printed on the ticket was completely different again to reality. Luckily, there were Network Express (bus company) on hand to save the day, but even then they didn't seem to know what was occuring and seemed to make things up as they went along anyway. We made the BA flight from Gatwick with plenty of time to spare so that's the main thing.

The next day to fill in time before departing we looked at the Chapel of Bones, which was built from the bones of the monks from the local cemetary. Over 1200 skulls. Definite goosebumps eh!

Looduspark koosneb 60km pikkusest laguunide kogumist, kus elavad mitmesugused linnud ja loomad. Kuna seal oli ukse peal silt, et töötajad on messil, siis võtsime endale voli ikkagi parki jalutama minna. Kokku läks u 1,5h. Radade juures on aeg-ajalt infotahvlid, kus seletatakse mingi looma, linnu või taime päritolu kohta. Mõnusa jalutuskäigu ja linnulaulu otsinguil soovitan sinna minna küll :)

Praeguseks oli jõgi suhteliselt kokku kuivanud, linn väsinud. Tegime seal väiksed tiirud vanalinnas, jõime (laste)kärarikkas kohvikus cappuccinot ja soetasime paar köögirätikut.

It never ceases to amaze me how these people were able to engineer and build such complex and beautiful places, including water storage cisterns and sewage disposal tunnels. it is currently being very carefully restored. Tavira is charming, on a river, very close to loverly beaches. The only thing that spoils it is the dog poo on the fotpaths, it is everywhere, you have to really watch ...

... here until we receive some post, and then plan to go to Sagres next week, the furthest South West one can travel in Portugal. The temperature in Costa del Sol is about 24 - 25C, here it is about 20C so we will be making our way back to Spain, it is much cheaper there. Petrol in Portugal costs 1.30 Euros where as in Spain it is 95 cents a litre, a big difference. Signing off for now. Liz and Rocky
