Friday 30th May

We left a rainy Solsona this morning and decided we would head back into Andorra (it was more or less on the way) to stock up on food and cheap alcohol. We had lunch in the supermarket restaurant and then headed back into Spain to Espot. The scenery along the route was beautiful as we climbed up winding roads to the top of mountain passes. When we left Villeneuve/ Pujols it was dull and overcast, but as we drove south it brightened up and turned into a lovely day. we passed through beautiful spring green countryside, mainly agricultural but with some vineyards.

With Skippy wearing her new chains we tackled the steep climb. The road was dangerous enough with all the fresh snow, but it became even more stressful with every couple of metres stationary cars and their occupants stood in our way. Eventually we came to the boarder crossing, leaving France ready to explore Andorra. Parked for the night in the capital Andorra del Villa with our hot water bottles close by.
