After brekkie it was onto Menton which is a lovely little town just before the Italian border. Menton is a much more down to earth place than its neighbours and more our scene. We found a park right on the beach and went for a wander and took in sum much needed sun. Next stop Italia!!
Menton, Provence, France darrenhough74... and not campervan parking friendly. We found a picture perfect stop just after Monte Carlo at the top of a hill overlooking the Med. We had the place to ourselves so we russelled up some brekkie in the sun which was lovely, so much so we were in t-shirts!!!
Monte-Carlo, Monaco darrenhough74... seen and spoken to, to date.
Set off mid morning to drive through Gorges du Verdon, again another stunning drive. This time though the weather was kind to us and we were able to get out for a hike after lunch. It seemed like a popular drive as we encountered several other tourists, one couple were eating lunch at the same spot we were. They packed up their picnic, took a swig out of ...
Grasse, Provence, France darrenhough74Cannes is not as glamrous as we thought it would be, it still has all the fancy smancy stores along the beach, but there were definitely no red carpets rolled out when we were there. We did a day trip to St-Tropez, its was the end of a hge sailing competitiona and tons of ...
Cannes, Provence, France sofenjon... menu. Lambrusca. If you haven't had it before, its a wonderful young sparkling red wine. (please disreguard the last comment, the wine was horrible)

http://picasaweb.googl e.com/Jonny.D.Lawrence/20090927NiceAnti besCannesStTropez?authkey=Gv1sRgCPzYpeu 2gIC7Jw&feat=directlink
Nice, Provence, France sofenjon... Three hours later, we exited Sabatini's! A fantastic end to a very memorable day! Princess Lesia, this day was yours! Every second, every minute, every hour! I was honored to be your husband because every Princess has a Prince! And for the day, as I escorted you, I felt like Prince Richard!

Bonsoir! Monte-Carlo, Monaco ricknelsie... for example. Jen and I arrived in front of the Monaco Cathedral, a grand structure and snapped a quick photo before ambling down to the Oceanographic Museum and Aquarium. The aquarium held an array of fish, sharks and jellyfish, not to mention a cute tank littered with hundreds of minute clownfish. If fish are not really your thing, then it is arguably ...
Monte-Carlo, Monaco pv_blog... this year- went into the Mediterranean and swam then just lazed on the beach with paperback in hand ...
Monaco-Ville, Monaco jv3117The next morning came, and sure enough I slept in. Monaco had worn me out big time...Monaco is very hilly and sadly because I got lost several times (I know, lost in Monaco, pretty sad I know) I walked up those hills more than I had wanted to, and it had been enough to ware me out. I believe that I ended up awaking that morning around....hmmmm.....noon I believe! For this reason, I decided that taking another day trip was not going to ...
Nice, France swisherd... those people who lost all their money before me, didn't tip him anything.. and there was a guy beside me who put down 3000€ to start playing and didn´t blink an eye. So all these richies didn't tip the dealer anything, but I, the Poor One, won and was nice. So Blah. Then, according to a pre-arranged plan, Jen and I went to the roulette table (with a 5€ minimum per chip (insanity)) with 5€ each to put on a lucky ...
