        But it’s all an experience, doing car repairs en franšais. I’m amazed really, that at half past four on a Friday afternoon a) anyone is up for doing any work, and b) they can whip the wheel off, and the tyre, and fix a puncture, all within about 15 minutes.

        There’s a great big display case by the tills in here, with different Opinel knives contained within. There’s an Opinel museum in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. You can tell that this handy pocket knife is a much-loved icon of the area. ...

        ... a bench seat to relax and congratulate each other and soak up the hot sun. drinking and people watching until we were able to contact Nicolas & Elodie who had come to pick us up.

        At this point I would like to thank Jacqui for her courage to push through to the end, she was so strong and took the lead most mornings to make it easier for me with the panniers. I always take a while to get moving and warmed up Ha Ha. But a tough old goat at the end!!!

        ... I was finished my hair looked really short. But it felt so good-so much lighter. Afterwards I grabbed a couple of lollies while waiting for Sam. Then when he finished and we went out I grabbed another lolly. 3 lollies! We had a good wander around all the streets of Annecy. When we looked at our watches and they said 12:30 we thought we needed lunch because I was hungry. We went to have subway (yay!! The first time since HK). I had my usual ...
