A short walk into town to get supplies and check out the gear shops...disappointed on bike hire prices so decided to stick to a bike with a motor, it's tricky mixing the two... Nanno nap and after a refreshing shower felt like a ride - so up the mountain we went. It was quite late and the sun was setting - providing amazing panoramic views of the surrounding mountains... Rode through the town of Alp D'Huez looking for photo opportunities. Went into one gear shop that had 50% off (surely ...

We have really made the grade now with Tony Delroy on ABC radio, he even mentioned us tonight without us even needing to call ...

... du lauteret (2000m) followed by the galibier. The tour will take part of the route we rode and campervans were flowing into the best vantage points in significant numbers ( 2 days before stage starting). The day ended with dinner in Bourg D'Oisans next to a river with trout followed by Rob singing Highway to Hell with the local camp band and Rob and Tony being chatted up by an tipsy older Belgium ...

... climbed around 600 vertical metres. This is a special place rich in history a true cycling mecca. I managed a wheel stand over the col. At 2360 metres the views were amazing we could see over to Mont Blanc. The descent was what we had thought about for some time. 35 Kim's of downhill riding, all the way back to Bourge d' Oisans. It was fast and long, we dropped ...
