        ... up the street and found some gelato. I had two boules in a waffle cone; the chocolate and hazelnut was fine but the mint chocolate was so strong with mint that it cleared my sinuses with just a waft. It was good. Then we all walked in the other direction to the liquor shelf that we knew was at a near-by service station and we picked up some snacks and cheap beer and wine. Then it was back to the hotel to rest up and clean up for dinner.
