... also managed to persuade Jess and Lily and Ruby to come in and have a go and Lily especially got into it, no surprise there. She just needs to get a bit stronger in her swimming and she will be really good at it. It's actually really nice to go to the beach and want to go in the water to cool off rather than the Welsh way of rolling up your trousers and paddling until your feet go numb so it did turn out to be a good day despite the slow start.

Our next stop was Les Sables-d'Olonne, famous for the Vendée Globe, where a parcel was awaiting our arrival with a birthday present for me, some pretty crucial insurance documents and a couple of stickers saying 'Jade' as apparently French customs don't like it if your boat doesn't have its name anywhere on it.
