Residence de la Plage Les Sables-d'Olonne

We stayed 1 night in Paris with Olivier, after we spent 2 days in Rouze in Pyrenee. We finished 1st week of our vacation in Toulouse (trip by canal). Second week, we stayed in Talmont st.Hilaire in Francois´s parents.
Vendee is very very nice :-) !!!

After a week in Angers, where we stayed taking some rest at our gran parents house, we aheaded to Les sables d"olonnes, where we are going to spend 2 weeks at the shore. Look forward to it. I have been there 2 years ago. Great place to built sand castle, my cousins are coming to visit me....it is going to be a great 2 weeks.

Judith died! How are we going to manage without her - there'll be rows in the cab. She must have been dropped when planning last night.

Found this campsite after a couple of tries - clean and lovely under the pines. Swam, sunbathed, etc. for three days.

Cycled to La Flotte and St Martin first day, then Dave took us cross-country the next - big mistake, got lost, no lunch.

I found the briefing very easy to follow and delivered in perfect English however just in case you forget anything all of the obstacles have some basic visual instructions on them instructing you on how to tackle the obstacle and how you should clip yourself on to the wires. ... as its pace - people still crashing through the aisles with their luggage as it smoothly pulled out of the station. The trains speed was deceptively slow for about the first 30 minutes, but between Paris and Tours, it really started flying - Sam so giddy with excitement he squirmed in his seat and did everything but clap his hands and giggle uncontrollably (ok, so there may have been a moment or 2 of that). ... breaking down 70 miles away from the campsite and having to be towed unceremoniously through the streets on the back of a trailer; several nice castles, horseriding, beaches, an aquarium on Noirmoutier island, real downtime and red-wine in the sun.

... yup, we'd left the awning poles back in Wales!! Thankfully on the outskirts of Sable d'Olonne we found a caravan spares place and picked up a universal set - PHEW! We'd taken our mountain bikes expecting a good bit of exercising, but the kids decided they wanted to pose around the swimming pool and sunbathe. ... de Atlantische Oceaan zakken. Het loopt naar Pinksteren toe en we zien alle vissersschepen langzamerhand binnen komen. De stad is vol met toeristen. We blijven hier tot de tweede Pinksterdag en vermaken ons met een bezoek aan de zoutpoelen waar nog steeds het zout van de streek wordt gewonnen, om nog meer te weten te komen over de zoutwinning gaan we naar een museum en verder laven we ons aan de overdadige zon die deze dagen schijnt. We zwemmen zelfs en ik moet zeggen het water is ...

... t want to leave! We left home later that evening, and drove to the airport at Nantes where we met up with the rest of the group of Aussies and checked in. I had too much stuff in my bag and the guy checking my bags in said I had to take some stuff out. So I took some stuff out and added it to my hand luggage.... stupid! LOL We all had to say goodbye to everyone, which was the saddest thing I have had to do :( and everyone was crying as we boarded our plane home.
