... We did get some sleep, but not much. We're met at Verona and bussed to Sirmione where we'll spend the next three nights. ... On ship for 5 hours stopping at all little amazing towns dropping of all the tourists at little ports on the way. Eventuality arrived at Peschiera at 7.45pm. Went straight to restaurant near our hotel feeling rather smelly and dirty but needed food and a drink first. Beautiful view looking over the lake with the moon shining over it. Had a great meal then off to hotel in the dark, had to turn on our bike lights as was really dark by now.

First day of cycle tour.

After a brief but enjoyable few hours in Verona the city campsite Bec had managed to find just didn't feel like home. Lucky for us only a few short hours away was the Italian Dolomites a well known mountainous region and admittedly a bit of a struggle for the Wicked Beast but I'll get to that. Little did we know that on the way we would come across miles (why does kilometres seem wrong here? Have I been in the UK too long?) of wine grapes and even more surprisingly ...
